Reverse Postings
Information
If incorrect actual load records have been created, PLANTA expressively recommends that you do not delete them but reverse postings.
Incorrect load records can occur, e.g., if an incorrect project or an incorrect task has been reported or if the key date has already been exceeded.
Explanation
Procedure
In the Work Reporting module or Report Hours Worked module, you have to
Create a new record with the same date as in the reference record below the posting record to be reverse.
In the Actual load field, you have to enter the same number of hours as in the reference record with a minus symbol.
Save.
Note
You have to make sure that reverse postings are made to the same date as the incorrect postings.
Stop
As long as no capacity scheduling has been carried out for the affected project after the reporting of actual loads, it is still possible to delete the reported actual value directly (no load record!). But as there is no indication whether capacity scheduling run, it should only be done in consultation with the responsible project manager, because otherwise project data could be manipulated.
Lock/Limit Reported Hours Worked (Entry of Hours Worked)
Information
The entry of hours worked can completely be locked via the Locked (Project) or Locked task parameters or limited via the Key date performance model parameter.
